The Art of Play—February Vacation Fun

For three days during the public school break, we will be opening up the Self Esteem Through Art studio for what is becoming an annual February vacation program offering for school-aged boys and girls. We are calling this year’s program The Art of Play and the theme of this week is going to be FUN! As we gather in the studio each day, our overarching goal—in addition to creativity—is going to be laughter. This is going to be a week where your children get to unwind, seek joy, and create projects that speak to them in both artistic and lighthearted ways.

In addition to the projects we do in the studio, we may go outside (weather permitting) for activities such as snow painting, sheet painting, community building, and burning off some energy. This is going to be a fluid week of being flexible with expectations, catering to energy levels, and seeking joy and merriment in assorted ways.

FINE PRINT: 

• The program runs Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m.—12:30 p.m.
• You will have the option to sign your child(ren) up for extended day option which is one extra hour in studio with a pizza lunch each day. This option comes at an additional cost and will run from 9 a.m.—1:30 p.m.
• *THERE IS NO SINGLE DAY OPTION. CHILD(REN) MUST SIGN UP FOR ALL 3 DAYS.
• Sibling discount available for multiple children. Click the appropriate drop-down box when registering.
• There is space for a maximum of 14 children each day. The program will run with a minimum sign-up of 10 children.
• Space is considered reserved once payment is made. I cannot “hold spots” for vacation programs.
• This program is geared towards children (both boys and girls) in 3rd—8th grade. If you are interested in sending children that are younger than 3rd grade, please contact me in advance so we can have a discussion about specifics and see if this will be a good fit.
• There are no refunds for this program unless I need to cancel for some reason. Please make sure you are able to commit before registering. If your child ends up being sick or you have an emergency and you are able to fill your spot with another child (or I am able to pull a child from the waiting list), you will be eligible for a refund. Contact me in advance if you have questions about what constitutes an emergency.
• The studio is located at 358 Woodland St in Holliston (green door, poppy-colored awning). There is NO PARKING/STOPPING in front of the studio. Please park in the lot for #360 and walk over.
• If your child has any food allergies or social/emotional/developmental challenges, please let me know in advance so I can accommodate for those situations and make ensure this is an enjoyable experience for your child.
• You will receive an email from me approximately a week before this program with additional details. Please make sure you enter a valid email (that you check on a regular basis) when registering.

We can’t wait to have a few days of fun with your children! This has become a well-loved time in the studio for all.
