Are you ready for some befores and afters that are totally going to rock your world? Are you ready to see what happens when the timing is right and the commitment level is high? Are you ready to gaze at what a structured caloric intake/nutrition program can do for people? Are you ready to witness the incredible transformation of two people who love each other and who wanted to be better parents to their two beautiful daughters?

I am proud to show you the dramatic transformation of my husband. He has shed just about 30 pounds easily and effortlessly. He looks frickin’ phenomenal! He feels better about himself. He is exercising again. And, he will be an even better mentor to his soccer team in the fall. I am so proud of him! (drum roll, please!)

Lost 30 pounds
Doesn’t he look AMAZING?!?!?

And then, there is me. I feel great. It’s about so much more than weight for me…I feel healthier. It’s amazing what a deficit of 28 pounds feels like! I look MUCH better, but I still have the goal of wanting to lose at least 40 pounds before my 40th birthday…so I have about 12 pounds to go and am determined to keep going. I am reintroducing regular exercise into my regimen and would welcome invitations to try out a new class, take a bike ride, or go for a long walk. I am proud that this is rubbing off on my children and I am hoping to inspire others on their journey…I know how freakin’ hard it is and I am a great cheerleader! Here are some befores + afters of yours truly. (drum roll, please!)

Lost 30 pounds in 30 days
I think it is so apropos that I look so disgusted in the first picture! 🙂 I feel much better now, and hopefully that shows, too.

Weight shedding and nutrition program
Oh lord…the dreaded REAR VIEW!! When I saw that first picture on Brenna’s teacher’s blog after I volunteered at Sports Day, I wanted to die! I felt so grotesque, so embarrassed, and felt like I had been in denial about how unhealthy I had become. They say the camera adds 10 pounds, I felt like I had 50 cameras pointed at me! What a wake up call!!

Before and after bathing suit

The first picture in this last one was taken on the last day of our vacation. I had just bought this bathing suit because some of my others were too small — it barely fit and I could have probably gone up a size at that point. I was wearing men’s swim shorts because mine no longer fit. I told Bobby to capture “just our feet” and the Summer 2011 sign that my daughter had scratched into the sand. Instead, he caught an unflattering picture of my stomach and I had been meaning to delete it since then, but am now so happy I kept it. The men’s shorts are now in the trash and I am wearing my old ones which are now quite roomy! The “new, snug” bathing suit is now too big and I can probably downsize…but, the season is almost over and I think I should wait until next year. Maybe there is a bikini in my future again — maybe (with lots of exercise and the help of the new Body Galvanic Spa). 🙂

Here’s hoping that our story inspires you in some way to do something positive for your health! You can have the same results by being disciplined, following our eating plan, and getting on board.
