Yesterday, I spent a few hours doing the first of a few deep cleans before the Self Esteem Through Art studio reopens for all of the fall programs. I hung some new lighting—these adorable mason jar lights.
And, I found this little note while sweeping under and rearranging the furniture.
I don’t know who the young artist was who painted these words and left them behind…but they are a powerful reminder to try something. To stay in a state of growth and wonder.
🙌 If it’s new and you are afraid—try it.
🙌 If you feel like you might be bad at it—try it.
🙌 If you feel like there is a possibility that you might fail—try it.
🙌 If you have never done anything like it and feel like it might bring you joy—try it.
🙌 If it is going to take up some time that you’ve convinced yourself you don’t have—try it.
🙌 Even if you think you might not have money for it—try it.
🙌 Who knows? You might love it—so try it!
Always just try. Kids are our greatest teachers and possess such timeless wisdom!
