Description
Children of all ages have a particular affinity for animals. Some of their first experiences of love and loss are directly tied to a cherished family pet. Children love zoos and aquariums, rodents and amphibians. But, what can the animal world teach us? There is so much to be learned from the many animals, large and small, that pass through our lives and touch our hearts each and every single day.
What makes horses and dogs so intuitive and how can our children tap into some of that instinctual wisdom?
How can the present-mindedness of a feline help us tap into a state of joy and ease?
How can we create parallels between an animal’s important place in our ecosystem and our importance in society?
What can our pets teach us about balance and living an optimal pace of life?
Does an amphibian have lessons for us about taking breaths and surviving hardships?
Did the term monkey mind actually originate from the behaviors of monkeys?
What can the animal kingdom teach us about coming together in one place?
In this class, we will be asking ourselves some important questions about health, happiness, social interaction, and mindfulness—and we will be using the timeless wisdom of animals as our guides. This series will tackle fundamental subject matter in a playful, engaging way.
