Description
Over the course of the past decade, I have run countless programs for children. In these programs, parents drop off and pick up, never getting to directly experience any of the joy and freedom that their children have just experienced. As parents, it seems as though a lot of our time is spent watching and supporting from the sidelines—transactional experiences as opposed to immersive ones. I wanted to create an event where parents could move from cheerleaders to active participants. Where they could experience the same magic and partake right alongside their children. Where parents could reconnect to a bit of their long-dormant childlike wonder and where kids could have an opportunity to see their parents as something else beside provider, disciplinarian, taxi driver, and short order cook. I wanted to help reframe and reshape the parent/child dynamic, at least for a finite moment in time.
This day is going to be a thoughtful combination of creativity, connection, mindfulness, communication, and good old fashioned FUN! All of this will occur in a gorgeous seaside setting where there is plenty of space to spread out and ground ourselves in what we each need the most.
It’s been a tough couple of years. This is a gift that will be well received by all and we can’t wait to welcome you!
