Jenn Pipe from Self Esteem Through Art is teaming up with Laura Sullivan from Recharge Newport to bring your kids this fabulous summer programming option! Each Wednesday evening, we are going to introduce your child to one of these classic artists: Kandinsky, Monet, Seurat, and Van Gogh. During class, we’ll teach them about the artist, talk about the artistic styles and techniques, and incorporate complementary life lessons and social-emotional tools that are derived from the artist’s methods and styles. The kids will then create their very own version of one of the master’s masterpieces.

These are all-levels classes for children in 1st-8th grade. There will be ample hands-on instruction for the younger kids while the older kids have an opportunity to both act as mentors (if they choose) as well as take their projects to the next level.

Sign your kids up for as many of these weeks as works for your schedule. Classes start on Wednesday, July 19, and will run for four consecutive weeks. July 19 is Kandinsky. July 26 is Monet. August 2 is Seurat. And August 9 is Van Gogh.

Fine Print:

  • This series will take place on Wednesdays from 6—7:45 p.m., starting July 19. The other dates are July 26, August 2, and August 9.
  • The studio is located at 1038 Aquidneck Ave, Middletown RI.
  • This class is designed for children in grades 1-8. There will be ample hands-on help for the younger kids and the older kids will do projects more in line with their ability levels.
  • Class fee includes ALL art materials, instruction, and artistic support.
  • You will receive a welcome email from me approximately one week before class starts with additional details. Please use your best email address when registering. Please indicate your child’s name and grade in the comments field when registering.
  • Registrants to my classes are added to my email newsletter list. You will begin to receive sporadic Self Esteem Through Art emails.
  • I take photos in the studio and those photos are often used on my Web site, in my marketing materials, and on social media. By registering, you understand that your child will be photographed. If you DO NOT want your child photographed, I must be notified before the start of class.
  • If you have any additional questions, please reach out to me before signing up. Once you sign up, we have entered into a contract with each other.
  • There are no refunds for this class unless you find a paid replacement for your child, so please be sure you/your child can commit to the session.
