This class is a celebration of femininity, sisterhood, and strength. I personally can’t think of a better way to start the new year! One of my favorite things about this studio space is how it attracts women of all ages (and artistic abilities). Women with young children circle up next to both retirees and middle aged women and it WORKS. Everyone leaves feeling enriched. Everyone learns something from someone else. Everyone feels supported and seen and respected.

During our seven weeks together, we are going to work on an assortment of mixed media, expressive art projects as we revel in our sparks, our spirits, and our souls. We’ll reflect, we’ll create, we’ll connect, we’ll make beautiful things. The image gallery showcases some wild woman art I have made in the past—the projects will not be the same, but these images show you the scope and help you envision what is possible!

Classes begin the week of January 8 (Wednesday, 1/10 or Friday, 1/12) and run for seven weeks with time off during February school vacation. Space is limited to 8 women in each session. Registration will close on January 1, or whenever class sells out. Please make sure you read the full description below and understand our refund policies prior to signing up. Description

Fine Print:

  • Choose your preferred day (either Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. or Fridays from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.). This seven-week series will take place beginning the week of January 8 and going through the week of February 26. Wednesday series starts on January 10 and Friday starts on January 12.
  • Advance registration is required!  A minimum of five women is needed in each class in order for them to run (spread the word and bring a friend). Registration will close on January 1, or whenever class sells out.
  • The studio is located at 1038 Aquidneck Ave in Middletown, RI (enter through the door on the right, 2nd floor).
  • All art materials are included in the fee.
  • You will receive a welcome email from us approximately one week before class starts with additional details. Please be sure to include your best email address when signing up.
  • Registrants are added to our email newsletter lists. You will begin to receive sporadic Self Esteem Through Art emails.
  • We will address any weather-related cancellations on an as-needed basis and make determinations on how to make up the time.
  • You may switch back and forth between sessions upon occasion (for example, if you have an appointment on Friday, you may attend the Wednesday the same week).
  • If you have any additional questions, please reach out to me before signing up. Once you sign up, we have entered into a contract with each other.
  • Due to the advance preparation and extensive materials required for this class, there will be no refunds. If notified of cancellations by January 1, you can get a credit towards another Self Esteem Through Art program (minus the materials fees).
