Words to Live By

$389.00

Ever since I launched the Self Esteem Through Art business in 2009, one of my missions has been to fortify the emotional/mental health and boost the self-esteem of children through the power of an intentionally empowering art practice. In this series, I am going to take that a step further! The thoughts kids think and the words they say to themselves will directly impact who they are and how they show up in the world. Words are powerful—they can build people up or tear them down. In this class, we are going to focus on Words to Live By! These are words that your children will directly benefit from hearing and saying…and each week, we are going to incorporate those uplifting words into beautifully curated art projects that your child will be able to look at over and over again!

This class is perfect for both creative and non-creative kids, for kids who may be suffering from setbacks in their mental and emotional wellness, and also for kids who seem to have it all together (everyone hits rough patches and it’s important to have the tools to navigate our way through). Each week will consist of mood and confidence-boosting activities and plenty of art!

This eight week series runs on Mondays from March 25 to May 20, 2024. Please scroll down, read all of the additional program information, and familiarize yourself with our cancellation policy before signing up. Registration is limited to 10 children.

*We offer military and sibling discounts—please contact us for the coupon codes. Patreon members can use their discount codes on these programs.

Description

What the Kids Will Love:

  • Hearing that they are smart, capable, and creative.
  • Disconnecting from stress, technology, and peer pressure while they focus on something FUN!
  • The empowering, judgment-free way they are encouraged to approach not only their time in class, but their time on their artwork. Both help to increase their sense of self and foster their creative spirits.
  • The collaborative nature of our activities. Kids are encouraged to share, connect, and problem solve as a group.
  • Developing their unique artistic style as we work on an assortment of fun, tactile, and uniquely open-ended projects.
  • Critical thinking, self-awareness, and abstract thought are huge parts of our weekly classes. They will learn the power of sharing their thoughts and their art in a supportive environment.
  • Self-discovery in a creative and judgment-free environment is so good for the soul!
