As of July 2024, we made the difficult decision to close our in-person studio space. We are currently running the bulk of our operations online. You can register for our existing in-person classes on this web site. Our online programs take place on Teachable and our current offerings can be found there. 

Art is an inherently therapeutic process. And it’s a superhighway for self-discovery. A lot of my classes go DEEP—we’re excavating and healing and learning and growing. I’ve always said my programs are so much more than an art class and that isn’t hyperbole.

What it WILL consist of:

• You’ll be presented with tools which connect you to who you are as a creative being and resources for living with more ease around your challenges.
• Many people say they experience a deeper connection to themselves, their art practice, and the world around them.
• You’ll receive creative support, compassion, and detailed instruction to each and every soul that enters my studio.

What your time WILL NOT CONSIST of:

• Your time with me, in a group or otherwise, will not be a substitute for a clinical therapy process.
• Your time with me is not intended to address or solve a mental health emergency.
• If any issues come up for you that should be handled by a licensed therapist or physician, I insist that you must attend to your health by contacting the appropriate professional immediately.

Oh, my dear, but what if you ARE an artist? And, you most definitely are! I run a wide assortment of classes that are appropriate for all artistic abilities. Much of my instruction is open-ended, meaning that less experienced artists get the hands-on help they need and more experienced artists can add their own unique flair and style. Detailed instruction, delivered with compassion, is always given. I don’t want you to miss out on a potentially life-altering and soul-awakening opportunity because you have put a label on yourself (or allowed others to do it for you). When in doubt, try that thing that makes you nervous, step out of the box, and live life to the fullest! Doing scary things enriches your life in ways you never knew possible.

I do not offer refunds for most events. Registration for one of my programs means we have entered into a contract with each other, and I invest in the course and in YOU long before you enter the classroom. Payment is our commitment to each other.

That being said, each class, workshop, retreat, and online event holds its own unique refund policy. We will occasionally offer the ability to transfer a registration and/or obtain a credit for a future program. You should definitely be sure to read the fine print to make sure you understand the policy before making a commitment.

It doesn’t happen very often, but should Self Esteem Through Art have to postpone or cancel an event due to an act of the universe (adverse weather conditions, illness, etc), we will first try to reschedule the program. If that’s not an option, we will offer a full refund.

There are NO REFUNDS for the multi-day summer Seaside Retreats. Every registrant is expected to research and purchase the travel insurance that fits their needs so that they can get reimbursed for their expenses from a third party should an emergency arise.

**Final Note: When signing up for one of my classes or workshops, I always recommend reading the fine print first. All of my classes require an up-front investment of time, money, and love on my part. If you sign up, I view that as an implied commitment of your time. I understand that sometimes, life throws up a curveball and we need to back out of even our most cherished commitments at the last minute. Should *unavoidable or *unfortunate life events (*sudden illness, adverse weather, etc) prevent you from attending, please contact me to see if it’s possible to issue a credit for a future event (sometimes it is, and sometimes, due to the nature of the project and the pre-class investment, it is not). There will be no cash refunds. Thank you for understanding.
