A note on feedback:

My youngest daughter is frustrated. She sustained yet ANOTHER shoulder injury and has subsequently missed out on the end of her volleyball season (her 3rd shoulder injury this year and 2nd in the past 4 months). An MRI revealed no soft tissue damage. Her frustration is a valid emotion—it is also preventing her from seeing that these injuries are a FEEDBACK LOOP and her body is trying to send her some messages:

💪 Strengthen me.
💪 Stretch me.
💪 Be consistent.
💪 Feed me good food.
💪 Teach me good posture.
💪 Be wary of overuse.
💪 Pay attention to kinesthetics on the court.
💪 Make sure I get plenty of rest.

I won’t harp on these things and I will let her feel her frustration and encourage her to look within for the solutions. I was a sports medicine major and I tell my kids these things all the time—the mind, body connection is an incredibly important part of my parenting—sometimes they listen, sometimes they don’t.

PEOPLE ONLY ACT WHEN THEY ARE READY TO HEAR THE MESSAGE!

You are probably in the midst of your own feedback loop—perhaps many multiple simultaneous loops. Your loop could physical, emotional, marital, fiscal, environmental, social, or professional or any combination thereof.

🔥 Are you paying attention?
🔥 Are you ready to face what the feedback loop is telling you and are you ready to take steps to make changes?

Trust me. You will know when you are ready. <3
