Now that I have told everyone else in person, I am sharing the news that I am taking some time off from teaching multi-week, in-person women’s classes in the studio during at least the 1st quarter of 2018.

One of the women asked me last week if I am “sick of them.” That couldn’t be further from the truth! A lot of small business owners operate from fear-based thinking:
  • I can’t take time off because the competition might steal my clients,
  • If I stop now I might lose momentum, and
  • My clients won’t understand/will think less of me.

I don’t operate that way. It wouldn’t be healthy for me OR the women I have the privilege of working with.

I have run back-to-back women’s groups since March of 2016 (9+ sessions) and feel fabulous about the content I have delivered, the environment I have cultivated, and the art projects I have helped the women create.

But, truth be told: I need some time to birth some new ideas. I want to keep my classes fresh, fun, and full of new techniques. I am running out of gas and need some time and space to recharge and refocus. I want to learn new things and bring them back to the studio. I want to do research. I want to broaden my knowledge in the field of emotional intelligence and personal growth and development, since those are the foundational cornerstones of all of my classes. I want to learn cutting-edge art techniques and experiment with new materials. I want to do things to fill my bucket back up so I can be at my personal and creative best for the women who spend their time and disposable income on my programs.

Throughout the end of March 2018, I will be focusing my efforts on my online Master Class for women and my girls’ after school programs. The rest of my time will be spent refining my craft and doing all the things that need to be done in order to continue to be the unique, powerful, cathartic, creative entity I have so lovingly built.

Is this move without risk? Absolutely not.
Am I giving up income and opportunity? Without a doubt.
Will I miss my Thursday mornings with the core group of women I have built a deep relationship with? You bet your ass!
But it is the best move for me at this time. Faith over fear and mindfulness over money…it’s how I choose to operate.

If you want to participate in a women’s class with me and don’t want to wait until at least April 2018, you can join me from anywhere in the world for the ONLINE 2018 Wheel of Life Master Class. This online program runs for eight months (beginning January 10th).
